Ovela ("we," "our," or "us") is dedicated to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and handle your information when you use the Ovela mobile application.
2. Information We Collect
We collect minimal data to provide our AI hairstyle synthesis features:
- Portrait Photos: Uploaded by you to generate hairstyle effects.
- Usage Data: Technical information such as device model and OS version.
3. Portrait and Face Data Usage (Guideline 2.1 Compliance)
We handle your portrait and face data with extreme care to protect your privacy:
- What we identify: We identify facial and hair regions from uploaded portrait photos to apply AI hairstyle effects. We do not collect biometrics, identity information, or depth data via TrueDepth/ARKit.
- How we use it: The data is used exclusively for the "AI Hairstyle Synthesis" feature. The AI model analyzes the image to generate a stylized version of the hair based on your selection.
- Third-Party Disclosure: We do not store any face/portrait data on our own servers. To provide the synthesis service, the app securely transmits the provided photo to our processing partner, OpenRouter API, via an encrypted SSL connection for real-time inference.
- No Storage/Retention: We do not retain your face data. Processing is entirely ephemeral; once the hairstyle result is returned to your device, the source image is removed from the processing buffer and is not stored or archived by us.
- No Sharing for Marketing: We never sell or share your face data with third parties for advertising, marketing, or tracking purposes.
4. Data Security
We use industry-standard encryption (SSL/TLS) to protect your data during transmission to the OpenRouter API.
5. Third-Party Services
Our app utilizes the OpenRouter API for AI model inference. By using the AI hairstyle features, you acknowledge that your uploaded portrait will be processed by this service provider solely for generating the requested visual effects.
6. Transparency & Retention
- Data Retention: We do not store portrait data on our servers. User-generated results are stored locally on your device unless you choose to save or share them.
- Account Deletion: Since we do not store personal face data, deleting your account (if applicable) will primarily remove your profile information and coin balance from our database.
7. Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be notified via in-app alerts or email before the effective date of the update. Your continued use of the App after the updated policy takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
